During the last year at school I completed a week's work experience at Model World in Maidstone. My duties here dealing with customer requests, answering phones, stock checks and pricing of new stock and repairing customers models, dealing with customer orders and cleaning of the store.

FREELANCE WEB DESIGN 2011 - PRESENT

During the last year of school I started freelance web design and became fascinated in web development. I now have a small portfolio of websites that I have created using various tools such as Dreamweaver and iWeb, as well as hand coding in HTML 5 and CSS 3. I would love the opportunity to learn more about web development using industry standard applications. A small portfolio can be shown on request.

APPRENTICE IN ACCIDENT REPAIR, MAS CAR AND COMMERCIAL 2012 - PRESENT

I started my apprenticeship at MAS in September of 2012 and attend Mid Kent Collage in Maidstone once a week. So far at College I have achieved my 1st year certificate and over half way through my portfolio. When I started at MAS I was mainly prepping cars and sanding down primer but I quickly progressed to the paint side of accident repair. Since then I have worked with water based and solvent based base and clear, solid color commercial paints, self etching clear coats and primers. I have also worked in the mixing rooms mixing paints off RM, Standox, Graphite, MaxMeyers and Lechler paint systems. My other duties are cleaning out the guns and rebuilding them, mopping up blended paint from old to new, polishing faded lacquer and solid colour paints, removing swirl marks and removing scratches, masking up vehicles for primer and paint, cleaning out ovens and replacing filters, maintaining gun wash machines and general workshop housekeeping. I have built up a large photographic portfolio of my work and also a small physical portfolio of personal work that can be shown on request.

JUNIOR WEB DEVELOPER / SUPPORT AGENT, INTERACTIVERED - PRESENT

I started working for Interactive Red in February 2014 with mixed skills in HTML and CSS. During the first few months of working here I learnt a massive amount of HTML and CSS and grew my skills rapidly, I then went on to learn PHP and their own CMS and frame work. I would not say I am fluent in PHP but have a basic understanding or the language but my skills show in the logic side of PHP.

I have now started to look at Magento and have a little understanding of the back end after completing my first Magneto site. I would like to grow my skills in this area as in the recent years Magneto has took off with a great success and many clients are asking for a site to be on the Magento platform.

If I was asked what I love about my career in Web Developing I would say its due to the ever changing technologies and the new challenges that every day brings you.

At Mid Kent College I have completed the first year of my apprenticeship and have achieved great results in all my assessments and practical work.

I hold a full UK manual car license and also a full motorcycle license

MOTORCYCLES

I have a large interest in motorcycles and the mechanics of a bike and enjoy working on my bike and riding with large groups.

PHOTOGRAPHY

I own a Canon DSLR with a variety of lenses and equipment. I have taken photographs for the school magazine and website, as well as for my own websites.

AIRBRUSH

I have only been practicing for a year but have been addicted to it from the start. Even though I'm no Van Gogh I enjoy producing small pieces of art and one day would like to work on cars and motorcy- cles.

AVIATION

I have always been fascinated with aviation and airplanes. I belonged to a local model aircraft flying club as a junior, and have now progressed onto flying real airplanes, taking lessons for my private pilot's license.
